Companies in Manchester that are running out of ideas for team building activities should learn from the upcoming Ping Pong Fight Club to be held on September 27. Businesses are going to join and fight in order to win the championship title for the Ping Pong Fight Club of Manchester. This is a unique event because the teams who will be participating are from different companies therefore it also doubles as a team building event.
This is the first time that the Ping Pong Fight Club is coming to Manchester. The event was organized in partnership with Tsingtao, a beer brand from China, along with a number of businesses all over the city such as ITV. There are also participations from the cast of Interactive Investor, Coronation Street, Shoot The Moon and Intechnica. They wanted to join in this fun-filled event which is also a good excuse for a networking party.
Tsingtao, Ching Dow when pronounced by locals, is a very popular brand of beer in China. The brand is coming to Manchester and the event is a way for the company to enter with a bang along with other events. All of these events have something to do with ping pong. The company has also organized events that will visit every business located in the city to present Tsingtao for free. They are going to set up professional table tennis tables that are full sized in each office.
The companies will range from startups to leaders in the industry. It is expected that hundreds of companies are going to compete against one another. Aside from playing with their co-workers, they will also be given the chance to party and join VIP access to all activities such as team-based ping pong tournament, a game called Pongbot challenge which is against a ping pong robot and VR ping pong.
Aside from the different team building activities, there will be popup bars, street food and music courtesy of DJs hired by the Ping Pong Fight Club as well as face painters. According to Ade Leigh, the founder and organizer of the event, everyone is welcome to join – businesses and the public.
