There’s some news that might interest those looking for apartment for rent in Bangkok, as a new project aims to create a serviced apartment complex in Bangkok, particularly in the district of Asoke. Partnering for this development project is the JR Kyushu and ONYX Hospitality Group. This new apartment complex is projected to have over 400 rooms and will open new opportunities for homeowners in the district. The Japanese Kyushu Railway Company is a business conglomerate, which operates business in various industries in the region, which include transportation, hospitality and real estate.

The ONYX Hospitality Group has been appointed by Kyushu to be in charge of managing the hotel under its Shama brand. The property will then be launched as the Shama Lakeview Asoke Bangkok by the 1st of April, 2018. This development, being located in Thailand, marks JR Kyushu’s new business venture for the company. They are looking to move into Thailand and provide moreapartment for rent in Bankok. The partnership was cemented following JR Kyushu’s acquisition of the serviced apartment property back in December of 2017.

This cooperation was made possible with the assistance of Mori Building Real Estate Investment Advisory Co., which acted as JR Kyushu’s advisor, directing them to both the property investment, and the hotel operator. They also helped negotiate the terms for the purchase and the management setup.

The service apartment, Shama Lakeview located in theAsoke district, will provide various facilities, ranging from large apartments with two to three bedrooms, to studio suites, complimented with various restaurants, a pool deck with a view of the lake, a practice range for golfers, a fitness centre, conference rooms, among others. Certain areas will be under refurbishment and upgrades will be installed. This is expected to run from 2018 to 2019.
